How to disable display of Drives in 'My Computer'?

  • Click on Start button then type 'regedit' in Run option and click on OK.
  • Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
  • On the right window of registry editor, right-click the empty space and make 'New-DWORD Value' and give the value name "NoDrives".
  • Right-click the new key you've made and select Modify.
  • On the Value Data give the value "3ffffff" (Hexadecimal) and press OK.
  • Then restart your computer. 
After restarting your pc, there are no drives will be shown on 'My Computer'. To enable display of drives in My Computer, simply delete this DWORD item.
