If you using Macromedia Flash then you should know it's shortcut keys.. Here are some shortcut keys of Macromedia Flash..
Enter                          = Add a Note (in Standard Notation)
+                               = Divide the Duration of the Notes by 2
-                                = Multiply the Duration of the Notes by 2

R                               = Rest

L                                = Link the Note
