How to change the default directory of software installation?
By default, software setup always attempts to install program in C:\Program Files directory. If you want to change it follow the given steps:-
- Click on Start button then type 'regedit' in Run option and click on OK.
- Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
- In right side panel, double click on ProgramFileDir.
- Now modify the value data to any other drive (for example:- D:\Program Files).
- Now close the registry editor and restart your computer.
